Octave Technology and O&M Engineering Agree to a Partnership
 

Local Ellicott City firms work to accelerate the adoption of wireless sensor networks in the building automation market.

March 30, 2007 Ellicott City, MD - Octave Technology, Inc. (www.octavetech.com), a leader in wireless sensor software development and O&M Engineering Inc (www.omengineering.com), a systems integrator of building and industrial automation technologies, announced a partnership to drive the adoption of wireless sensor technology into the building automation market. O&M will market the OCTAVEX™ Wireless Sensor Framework as part of their development and integration platforms.

The OCTAVEX™ Framework can simultaneously support any number of sensor points for different types of wireless protocols including mesh networks [zigbee or proprietary platforms], active RFID tags, point to point RF sensors, and other types of smart sensors. Octave and O&M are working together to develop back end integration modules, such as an OPC server, for easy integration with existing building and industrial automation control packages.
