Octave Renews Partnership with Power Cabling Corp
Firms will continue to market C|Smart Cable Management System

Ellicott City, MD – July 25, 2006 - Octave Technology, Inc., an Auto-ID software provider, announced today a renewal of an alliance agreement with Power Cabling Corp., a subsidiary of Electri-Cord, Inc. and leading power cable manufacturer based in Westfield, PA.  Octave Technology will continue the partnership with PCC to support and enhance the C|Smart Cable Management System.

C|Smart is the first cable management system that maximizes both mobile and contact memory technology.  Power Cabling's innovative solution helps facilities and data center managers direct cable installations, manage power cable distribution, and generate accurate panel schedules.  C|Smart is designed for companies who demand real-time, accurate information about their power cables, panel schedules and electric service lines

Contact memory technology is utilized for asset maintenance and tracking, allowing all relevant data (schematics, maintenance history, serial numbers and identifiers) to be stored physically ON the asset by way of the memory button. This diminishes the need to handle cumbersome paper documentation and can eliminate many errors that arise from manual data entry.

The Octave Technology and PCC partnership solidifies the position of C|Smart in the market giving PCC a clear advantage over other cable manufacturers and providing a value add solution that meets the demands of today’s data center managers.
